Seniors and Other Generations are Enjoying New TG Programs!

Flower Arranging

Flower Arranging

In April a number of new and old programs started at Tonari Gumi for the April to June term.  Among the hit programs are our new flower arranging class being taught by Rinko Horiuchi on Tuesday afternoons, our Gourmand Club (Kuishinbo Kai) held on every 3rd Wednesday and the Decorative Sushi Making workshop held on April 23rd.

Given the popularity of the last workshop where more than 17 eager sushi-makers congregated, we expect to have more such workshops in the very near future.  Our new Homebound Program has also been popular and it is very gratifying to see so many seniors enjoying the activities, learning new skills and enthusiastically engaging with other seniors.

Our young and old volunteers are also learning how to interact with others and the joy of service.  If you are interested in joining any of our many programs or in volunteering, please call Tonari Gumi at 604-687-2172 or send an e-mail to info@tonarigumi.ca.
