Programs and Services

We are proud that Tonari Gumi has been able to provide a wide array of programs and services of benefit to the Japanese Canadian community for over 35 years. We try our best to meet the needs of the community in both Japanese and English.

Membership

Tonari Gumi’s services and programs are open to all individuals and membership is  not required to participate. However, we encourage membership for those who  participate on a regular basis because membership provides discounts and special  advance information about events and programs.

Programs

We offer volunteer-led educational and recreational programs on a daily basis during weekdays, and we also offer some special workshops and other events on weekends and holidays. We have many different programs geared to a wide variety of interests.
