Shopping Transportation
Having a hard time going shopping by yourself, hesitate to purchase bulk items? Tonari Gumi provides Shopping Transportation Services to our members every Second and Fourth Thursday of the month, using dedicated Van purchased through Japanese Canadian Legacy’s Fund.
Maximum capacity for this service is 5 passengers.
Eligibility

Tonari Gumi members: Being 55 years of age and older

Has no personal transportation (car) available

Has no family and friends who could assist with shopping by car, or
-
Has difficulty walking or using public transportation
※currently excluding wheelchair users

Cash payment of $5 gas fee per user for return trip to/from home (pick up address)

How it Works
